Bushcraft 101: 

 

BC 101 is a weekend designed to give you the opportunity to spend some quality outdoor time and reconnect with nature in spectacular scenery whilst learning some essential outdoor skills, whether a one off, or an intention to start practising and following on with more skills, this is the ideal place to start. 

Skills covered in BC 101:

- Kit.

- Shelter.

- Fire.

- Cutting tools and use. 

- Knots, whippings & lashes. 

The BC 101 package includes: 

- Evening meal, cooked on campfire.

- Sunday Breakfast. 

- Tools for instruction.

- Course completion Swedish forged Bushcraft knife.            (Children receive child safety version).

- Course completion fire striker.

Does Not include:

- Personal hiking/outdoor kit.

- Snacks and beverages.

- Sleeping bag/mat.

Bushcraft 102:

The BC 102 is the next step from the 101 to add and enhance your skills. Once you have been aquainted with the your initial outdoor skills, which are to survive, this weekend will guide you to thrive outdoors. Learning new skills in a relaxed environment and again in amazing natural surroundings.

Skills covered in BC 102:

- Water.

- Traps.

- Cooking.

- Intro foraging. 

- Intro Carving. 

The BC 102 package includes: 

- Evening meal, cooked on campfire.

- Sunday Breakfast. 

- Tools for instruction.

- Course completion leather pouch.

- Course completion Carved spoon.

Does Not include:

- Personal hiking/outdoor kit.

- Snacks and beverages.

- Sleeping bag/mat.

Bushcraft 1 on 1:

BC 1on1 is for 1 or 2 individuals (or 1 adult one child) that want to learn bushcraft skills under the full attention of the instructor without distraction of other participants. The core element of this course is taken from the BC 101, however can be customised with 5 elements chosen from the BC 1 dayers (see BC 1 dayers). 

Skills covered in BC 1on1 (skills can be altered and chosen from 1 dayers) as per client preference:

- Kit.

- Shelter.

- Fire.

- Cutting tools and use. 

- Knots, whippings & lashes. 

The BC 1on1 package includes: 

- Evening meal, cooked on campfire.

- Sunday Breakfast. 

- Tools for instruction.

- Course completion Swedish forged Bushcraft knife.            (Children receive child safety version).

- Course completion fire striker.

Bushcraft 1 dayers:

BC 1 dayers are designed to offer a day out where the individual can choose up to 2 skills to focus on during a day outdoors in our scenic forests and landscapes. Picking a skill for the day means that the individual will be able to learn, practice and improve that particular skill more efficiently than more condensed courses. 

Optional skills in BC 1 dayers (max 2):

- Shelter.

- Fire.

- Cutting tools and use. 

- Knots, whippings & lashes. 

- Traps.

- Water.

- Foraging.

- Carving.

- Cordage

- Cooking.

The BC 1 dayer package includes:  

- Tools for instruction.

- Course completion fire striker.

Does Not include:

- Personal hiking/outdoor kit.

Bushcraft leisure:

The BC leisure weekend is for those that would like to just enjoy a weekend camp without the course set. To reconnect with nature, enjoy the outdoors and get away from the daily work pressures. Enjoy some Bushcraft cuisine, drinks whilst sitting by a relaxing campfire. An ideal weekend for a family, friends or even a couple, potentially a Lads, Stag or Hen weekend too.

BC leisure, is a pleasure weekend with following evening options:

- Learn to make Bannock (bread).

- Have meal cooked for you.

  (Pre-agreed meal).

The BC leisure package includes: 

- Evening meal, cooked on campfire.

- Sunday Breakfast. 

Does Not include:

- Personal hiking/outdoor kit.

- Sleeping bag/mat.

Navigation:

This trek is to teach people how to use map and compass in the mountains and build confidence by being able to navigate in various conditions. We will cover grid references, route plans, contingency, relocating, low visibility, emergency procedures and primitive techniques. First day will be to trek, locate and choose a camp site. Once established the group will rise at 4am, for a low visibility and night navigation phase, to trek and locate a peak, where the group will summit for sunrise. Once achieving the summit, the group will navigate to a finishing location, where on completion we can relax and have some refreshments.

The Navigation package includes: 

- 2 day instruction.

- Qualified guide

- First Aid 

Does Not include:

- Sleeping bag/mat.
